To those who plan to offer endowment

  • The Foundation has a purpose of encouraging the research of natural sciences on prevention and cure of human diseases and thereby to promote sciences and to contribute to the welfare of human being. To be specific, we offer research grant to researchers, provide grant to support overseas study for young researchers, and support Japanese and overseas researchers on information exchange activities based on presenting the research results at scientific meetings.
  • In order to promote these activities, we use endowment given by the general public and interest income from assets owned by the Foundation.
  • The Naito Foundation is recognized as a Specific Public-Interest Promotional Charitable Corporation (Tokutei Koeki Zoshin Hojin) by the Government, so that those who have offered endowment will have taxation benefit.
  • A Specific Public-Interest Promotional Charitable Corporation is a corporation recognized as the one significantly contributing to the promotion of education or sciences, improvement of culture, social welfare and the increase of other public interest among public corporations and public-interest corporations.
  • When an individual or a corporation offers endowment to these charitable corporations, both an individual and a corporation will have preferential treatment for taxation.
    Brief explanation of preferential treatment:
    Individual: The sum of specific endowment amount of one year less 5,000 yen will be subject to your endowment deduction.
    Corporation: Endowment is treated as allowable expense of a corporation in a separate category up to the same amount as allowable expense for normal donation maximum amount.
